Anna is one half of London based directing duo K+K, represented by Hero Films, along with Susannah Kala Limbu. Together, they are also founding members of Somewhere Films, a female driven collective of diverse film and media talent spanning London and Los Angeles. Their work blends documentary, fashion and experimental media, embracing a dichotomy that is simultaneously rebellious, intimate, confrontational and empathetic. They love to work with brands, designers, and communities whose ethos uplifts innovative and unconventional approaches to storytelling, visual language and social engagement.

Nature vs. Nurture is the product of a collaboration between Burberry Middle East, Sole Creative and Somewhere Films, to create a visually evocative branded dance film, featuring the Ebinum Brothers. Filmed over the course of one November day in Epping Forest, we made efficient use of our time, budget and the natural beauty of the location we scouted.

I Thank My Mother For My Hair is one of the films we are most proud of: a no budget passion project of immense trust and vulnerability that has gone to garner a notable list of credits, features, screenings and a licensing deal with ITV's Planet Woo.

Reframing the Archive | Onyeka Igwe (Trailer)

Working between cinema and installation, Igwe’s practice is informed by the sensorial nature of archives – the smells, the textures, but also the one-sided nature of the accounts she discovers. We accompany Igwe to Raven Row to see their work featured in the Pan African Cinema Archive exhibition before visiting their studio at Somerset House, where she shares the ideas, edits and objects that inspire her. Commissioned by Somerset House Trust. Directed, Shot & Edited by Anna Dobos.

‘Preservation’ is an experimental narrative short film, currently in development. In the context of creeping ecological collapse, a pair of researchers embark on a conservation project to create a digital simulacrum of a tied island off the coast of England which will soon be made inaccessible by road. As they scan the environment and interview residents, unexpected digital glitches reveal hidden currents within the land, community and their personal histories, challenging their understanding of memory and preservation and the boundaries between the physical and the digital.
